Virat Kohli, a name that lives in the hearts of millions of people. He is the captain of the Indian Cricket team. He is a Right-Handed Batsman. He is the backbone of the Indian Cricket Team. Not only this, but he is also the captain of the IPL (Indian Premier League) team Royal challenger Bangalore. He always comes for batting at number 3 in the Indian team but in RCB he often comes in opening for his team.

Among Indian batsmen, Kohli has the best rating in Test Cricket, in ODI Cricket and in T-20 Cricket. Kohli was appointd the vice-captain of the ODI team in 2012 and handed over the test captaincy following Mahender Singh Dhoni’s Test Retirement in 2014. In early 2017, he became the limited over captain as well after Dhoni stepped down from the position. In ODI’s, Kohli has the second highest number of centuries and the highest number of centuries in run-chases in the world. He holds the world record for being the fastest batsman to 10,000 and 11,000 runs in ODI cricket, reaching the milestones in 205 and 222 innings respectively.

Personal Life:

Virat Kohli was born on 5 Noverber 1988 in Delhi in a Punjabi Family. He often called by a nickname by his teammates “Chikoo” His father, Prem Kohli, worked as a Criminal Lawyer and his mother, Saroj Kohli, is a Housewife. He has an older brother, Vikas and an older sister, Bhavna. Kohli was raised in Uttam Nagar and started his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School. In 1998, when he was nine years old join first Cricket academy of his life, when neighbours suggested his father that Kohli shouldn’t waste his time in gully cricket. His father took him to the academy and he get trained under Rajkumar Sharma.

Kohli’s father died on 18 December 2006 due to a stroke after being bed-ridden for a month. Regarding his early life, Kohli has said in an interview, “I’ve seen a lot in life. Losing my father at a young age, the family business not going too well, staying in a rented place. There were tough times for the family. It’s all embedded my life.”

   On December 11, 2018 Virat kohli get married with Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma. They both recognised with a combined name “Virushka”. Virushka’s marriage took place in Italy. It was a small ceremony with family and friends. This ceremony took place in the campus of Union Building of Pretoria.
